If you drive by Groff’s Content Farm in spring you will see a field full of bouncing baby lambs. When we say bouncing, we mean it too. Our ewes are bred to be wonderful mothers, usually to multiples. Our sheep are very active. In 2002 when we started our flock, we had a lively bunch. We will never forget the first time we had to cut a young ram from the wild flock. Those rams could have easily been mistaken for deer the way they were prancing and jumping through the air. Luckily, after almost 15 years of building and working our flock we have learned a lot about sheep, but that very first learning experience will always be our fondest and funniest memory about our flock.
We make sure our lamb is 100% grass fed and finished. This is not your grocery store lamb that was raised in a feed lot and every single lamb customer we have agree. Our sheep are born and raised on chemical free pastures, hydroponic fodder and hay (in the winter) and we wouldn’t want it any other way.
Lamb cuts are available all year round while supplies last. If you need lamb for a special occasion, please let us know and we can try to accommodate you.
